Making learning meaningful, memorable and fun

As many managers face the challenge of having to make redundancies, ST*R Learning is expanding the support it offers with the launch of its range of outplacement services.

Too busy to spare your people for a full day of training but know you need to improve their skills? ST*R Learning is offering a solution with the launch of its new Bite-Size training sessions. These intensive workshops are only 90 minutes long, but pack in all you need to address key issues at work.

Roger Stent, managing director of ST*R Learning, presented a key speech at the ‘Healthcare Masterclass 2010’ in Abuja. The conference was attended by Prof. C.O.O. Chukwu, the Honorable Minister of Health for Nigeria, and other leading Nigerian healthcare professionals.

ST*R Learning has formed a new company, STAR Learning s.r.o. based in Prague, to deliver high-quality British-style management training.

Carolle Thompson, commercial director at ST*R Learning, said: “We’ve been working towards exporting for the last two years and due to the fantastic support we’ve had from UK Trade & Investment within the British Embassy at Prague we’ve now achieved one of our major goals.

"We’ve found the perfect partner to work with in Prague and ST*R Learning now has 50% ownership of STAR Learning s.r.o. This is a great opportunity for us to grow and develop."

ST*R Learning has been selected as an Academy Provider for Management and Leadership for the recently formed National Skills Academy in Sport and Active Leisure. If you are interested in improving your own or your peoples’ leadership and management skills, ST*R Learning can offer you training and development designed just for you. We’ll also be delivering branded programmes for the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure including management qualifications from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). ST*R Learning actively seeks funding for clients and several of our SME clients have used the £1000 available from Train to Gain for Leadership and Management development.

We provided Ash Communications with a Team Building event in March to motivate the marketing and communications consultancy for the challenges ahead in 2009 – and their feedback showed this to be a towering success.
